In-car holder for Nokia N8

After testing the Nokia CR-122 for a good while now, I can safely say that it is an excellent choice for mounting your new Nokia N8 or prospective Nokia E7 to either your windscreen or your dashboard in your car. Possibly the first thing you will notice if you ever had the Nokia N97 in-car holder, is that the mounting is exactly the same, but within a new phone holder. This is definitely not a bad thing, as I have found the holder for my old Nokia N97 was excellent.

To securely mount it to either your windscreen or dashboard, you have included in the box an adhesive backed rubber sucker mount. The holder will then slide open to allow you to insert your mobile phone before closing again, with a slide lock on the top edge of the product. Now to lay the holder on the mount and rotate it clockwise to secure it in place. The mount provides a full 360 degree rotation and 90 degree pivot, which will provide its user with more than enough adjustment to suit their exact needs.

You can see a few images of the CR-122 in my car to show you my personal preferred set-up. After a little searching I was able to find a coiled phone lead so it was possible to hook up the audi from my Nokia N8 into my car stereo system, as well as being able to keep my phone charged during this. Now I can drive along listening to my music on the awesome Nokia N8 native music player and also have OVI Maps in the foreground, automatically fading the music out to provide me with the navigation I require.

For me this is the perfect combination.
