Nokia N8 PR 1.1 delayed until February

Yep, apparently Nokia Sweden have ended all of our hopes of a Nokia N8 PR 1.1 release before the end of January, as they stated on Facebook it will be ready for release some time in February. Lots of us, including us at N8 Geeks have been waiting for this release for some time now, but it seems we must wait a little longer.

How much longer we have to wait exactly we don’t know, but hopefully the release of the PR 1.1 will be before the midway point next month – it’s understood that they are trying to fix bugs and iron out any issues with the operating system before releasing it to the public.

If you were paying close attention to the release dates of the PR 1.1, you would notice that Nokia have delayed the release of the update quite a few times, which is annoying at best. Unfortunately this ruins hopes of a release this month, but there’s only a possible 32 more days in which we would potentially have to wait.

The news of yet another delay has already caused a stir among the Nokia N8 community, but hopefully it won’t dent the reputation of the Nokia powerhouse – they deserve some credit for their excellent technology, something other companies are yet to reproduce.

If people are thinking of leaving the Nokia N8 bandwagon, they should thing again. The Nokia N8, will, we hope at least, be even more of a successful phenomenon than it already is with the addition of some top quality software, which we hope they provide in future updates.

Are you unhappy with Nokia for not releasing the update this month, or do you believe the wait will be worth it when the software is polished up and bug-free?
